Baseball 2012

MacKelle did her final year of T-ball this year. She is ready for coach pitch!! Here are a few pics from the season...

Trace had his first year in the minors (he plays for the Dodgers)...It is like a whole new game from coach pitch. Much more challenging and time consuming. It was really fun to see him progress throughout the season. He even started pitching some. They only lost one game during the season and took 4th in the tournament. It was a great season and so fun to watch the kids.

It keeps getting better and better :)

Check out our pretty master shower...I absolutely love it! Didn't know how I would feel about the big tiles, but I really like it.
 And our corner Jacuzzi :)
My favorite, the floor in the main level going in!! Even unfinished in this pic and dusty from install, it is still so pretty! :)
 Mason's room with the stripe...
Cabinets being set, countertop (not set, just set on for the time being until it is cut to fit where it needs to). We went with an in-stock laminate (even special order laminate was more than twice as much $$...)
Here is the trim we are adding to the bar...we might add decorative elements to go with it, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Latest projects...

So this is my DREAM kitchen, which I really can't afford Ü, but it is my inspiration picture for all my decision making. Love this look!! (except maybe the rooster Ü)
Here is our kitchen area right now. The blue bar is really a zinc bar that has a protective covering on it. We are probably most nervous about this project because we haven't worked with metal before... The picture below is a similar look that I like with zinc...we will see how ours looks in the end.
Here are some corbels that I made for under the bar support. We are going to paint under the bar an antique white and the corbels also, then distress them.
This is the front door looking from where the dining table will go.

This is the floor we found that I totally fell in love with!!! It should be getting installed soon!! It is going in the living/dining/kitchen area.

To affordably get the black painted cabinets that we love, we ordered them unfinished and unassembled and painted, sanded, stained, clearcoated and assembled for about 2 weeks...we had a little cabinet factory going on in our back yard. It took a lot more time than I thought and was super HOT in our yard, but was worth it and I really like the end result.

This is the hardware we are going to have on our cabinets.

 Presli's Room

This is our baby's room. Originally I was planning on using some other fabric for her bedding, but Mackelle fell in love with it. I already had painted this room, teal, so I went with plan b.

This is the dresser that we repainted and distressed to go with her room. (it is still in the boys room at the rental until the carpet is in at the new house)
This is the baby bedding material. The "P" is going above the swirly painted on the wall.

I think something like this would be cute framed on her wall too...maybe in a red mat??

MacKelle's Room

And here is the bedding that she is going to have with it.

Mason's Room

We are going for kind of a vintage sports theme...here are some finds we got at hobby lobby that will go in his new room when we move. We might paint a blue square behind them to tie the blue in other places. That was the color that Mason wanted even though it doesn't really go as well as red...but its his room, right? Ü

 Master Bedroom
Justin and my room. It is just beige right now...probably won't be as crazy as the kid's rooms, but I am so excited. We have tile now in the bathroom, so I will have to get some more pictures.

Trace's room is still unfinished (it is in a bonus area that we have to finish). Justin is mudding it and we are trying to get it painted before carpet comes on August 6th. He decided he wants to go with a kid's steampunk theme. We will have to see how that comes together :) I will post pics of it as it progresses.

So, we have been getting really excited for all the progress. I only have one more wedding cake to do and I am done with cakes for a while, and can really get going on some of these other projects. It has been fun, but the summer is going too fast!!
