Trace's 1st Pine Wood Derby!

So, last night was the first pine wood derby for Trace. He just missed it last year when he turned 8 and got into scouts. Justin and Trace planned and worked VERY hard on the car. They called up Grandpa Moss and asked him for his secret tips to make it go extra fast...and did a little online research. I have to admit, that I thought Justin was a little crazy with all the "little extras" that he HAD to do with Trace. They had a lot of fun with it though and it all payed off in the end.

Here is Trace and his best friend Tyson at the race (yes, that is the actual lighing in there...very yellow)

His car is the one on the far track...

See the blur of it speeding by?? He ended up winning all but one of his races!!

 It was VERY exciting :)

I tried to get his smile just after a win, but didn't quite...but he was having a blast!

He ended up with two awards...best details on his car, and 2nd place for the Bears!!

Thanks Justin for spending all that time with Trace creating such a speedy car and making it such a fun night! I think that is what my favorite part of the Pine Wood Derby is...Dad and son time. LOVE IT!!

Swinging...

Mason likes the swings, but DOESN'T like going high at all!! He doesn't mind going side to side though :)

MacKelle LOVES to go as HIGH as she can!!!!
Love my kiddos!!!!!

Dormer added

So, ya, I guess I keep adding pictures...I LOVE to see the new things in our house every day. I pretty much go by every afternoon after picking up the kids so we can see what has changed on the outside, then we go back every evening and walk through to really see everything...They think that they might be done the end of August...which would be perfect since we are having baby #4 in the middle of September!! It is progressing so quickly right now!!

Day 5 of framing

It's looking like a house!  I probably won't post as often with pictures of the house, but it is so fun to see so much progress every day!!
This is the room above the garage. Eventually it will probably be a theater room, but to start out it will be a toy room, and play area.
This is our other bonus area (It is above the main living area). It will end up being Trace's room and a bathroom. There will be a dormer coming off the front side of the house also.

 Kitchen/Living/Dining room area
 Checkin' out the neighbors...
This is the steps that will lead up to Justin and my room, and the baby's room. There will be steps down to MacKelle's and Mason's rooms.
Looking down at the main floor...It has already changed a lot since these pictures...Our builder is a crazy hard worker and is getting things done! He has been out today working in the wind and rain... Yesterday the trusses got there...so things keep on progressing. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!
