Sleeping Beauty

MacKelle has always been pretty funny/entertaining to watch. The other night, I went into her room to check on her, and saw that she had gotten up and put a sweatshirt and a headband on. A month or so ago, when I went to check on her, she had gotten dressed in a skirt and "high heels". A couple of mornings ago, I went to get her out of bed and she had a giant princess coloring book that she slept with under her blanket. You just never know what this sleeping beauty will do.

She also likes to "make her shape". She lays out the clothes that she is wearing or wants to wear. She does it so the shoes go where her feet go, the headband at the top where her head goes, etc. She wanted to lay out her clip on earings for this particular outfit, but I advised her against it so they didn't get stepped on or lost. I think it is too cute!!

Happy Birthday Bobi!! (Yesterday)

Yesterday was my good friend Bobi's birthday!! I LOVE birthdays. Bobi's family has 3 birthdays between today and yesterday. Being the awesome mom that she is, she spent her birthday getting ready for her son's and husband's birthday. She is also the only girl in her family, so I decided to make her a girly birthday cake. She is so fun and creative you'll have to check out her blog if you haven't yet, its super-cute!

MacKelle's new glasses

Isn't she cute? We took her in to get her eyes checked a few weeks ago, because one of her eyes crosses in sometimes. We found out that she is +3.00 in one eye and +5.00 in the other. So now she has glasses. She seems like she can see better when she is wearing them, but we are trying to get her used to them.

"24" season finale party

What would a "24" season finale party be without a duffel bag cake with a bomb in it??? Jenny is Bauering the situation and we were able to eat and watch in safety. We're going to miss our 24 parties. Not just because we love Jack, but it's been fun hanging out with the Jemmetts. We'll have to find another summer show I guess.

I couldn't get a very good picture of the cake, but it has a bomb in it with 24 seconds left on the timer. I thought it was appropriate.

Okay, nothing to brag about, but I told Becky that I'd get one taken. Unfortuately I didn't remember when our church clothes were still on.

Bobi gave Mason this cute lion and the other day Mase was crying and MacKelle decided that it was because he needed his lion. I guess she was right, because he looked pretty content napping with his buddy the lion.
